My reporting area includes all of Lehigh and Northampton Counties with the
northern edge of the area reaching Beltzville State Park and the southern
edge reaching Peace Valley Park in Bucks County. Updates are typically done

The Allentown Christmas Bird Count will be held on December 17th. If

Blue-gray Gnatcatcher – 1 on 12/4.
Sightings from the NAZARETH QUARRY, Northampton County:
REDHEADS – 2 on 12/8.
Sightings from GREEN LANE RESERVOIR, Montgomery County:
At the Walt Road area:
GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE – 1 on 12/5 and 12/6
Cackling Geese – 4 on 12/4
Red-breasted Mergansers – 3 on 12/7 (fly-by’s)
RED-THROATED LOON – 1 from 12/4 to at least 12/6
BLACK-NECKED STILT – 1 on 12/8.
Also Common Goldeneye and Double-crested Cormorant.
Sightings from PEACE VALLEY PARK, Bucks County:
GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE – 1 on 12/2 and 12/3
Cackling Geese – 2 on 12/8
RED-THROATED LOON – 1 on 12/8
Bonaparte’s Gull – 1 on 12/3.
