Reports from the Parker River Refuge on Plum Island this week included
5 NORTHERN SHOVELERS, 110 NORTHERN PINTAILS, several HARLEQUIN DUCKS,
a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK, a SNOWY OWL, 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS, a NORTHERN
SHRIKE, a COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, and 20 RED CROSSBILLS.

In Dighton, a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was found and photographed in the
vicinity of Broad Cove earlier this week, and in Somerset a BARROW'S
GOLDENEYE seen.

Noted in Swansea were a EURASIAN WIGEON and a SANDHILL CRANE, and at
Gooseberry Neck in Westport there were 24 HARLEQUIN DUCKS and another
BARROW'S GOLDENEYE.

At Nine Acre Corner in Concord, a PINK-FOOTED GOOSE was found among a
large flock of CANADA GEESE on Plainfield Road.
At Dunback Meadow in Lexington, a WESTERN TANAGER continues to be seen
with regularity, and at the Cambridge Reservoir 50 AMERICAN WIGEON and
a REDHEAD were observed.

Miscellaneous reports this week included a REDHEAD and an ICELAND GULL
at Sylvester Baxter Park in Somerville; a BARROW'S GOLDENEYE at Castle
Island in South Boston; an AMERICAN BITTERN at Horn Pond in Woburn;
lingering OSPREYS in Wenham, Mansfield, and Westport; a late
SEMIPALMATED PLOVER in Ellisville; a late WILLET and a late
LONG-BILLED DOWITCHER at Nantucket; a LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL at Lake
Massapoag in Sharon; single SNOWY OWLS at Crane Beach in Ipswich and
in Fall River; 2 SHORT-EARED OWLS at Bear Creek Park in Saugus; a
NORTHERN SHRIKE in Halifax; a NASHVILLE WARBLER in Medford; 3 NELSON'S
SPARROWS in Fairhaven; and 10 RED CROSSBILLS in Salisbury.
